Max Scherzer fired seven scoreless innings allowing four hits and one eight-hit walk in the Mets’ 2-0 victory over the Astros in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Scherzer’s ERA dropped to 0.77 this spring.

Mark Ventus started at third base and hung out with a great backhand and throw out before reaching the plate in the next inning and hitting a double against Framber Valdez.
