I had the wrong Instacart order delivered to me – it was to a stranger
It was a happy accident.
After her Instacart delivered the wrong grocery order, TikToker decided to make the most of it by pulling all the items, calling it “super fun.”
Olivia Pascale, who goes by the username @employee On the social media app, it has already reached 2.6 million views on the video.
At the start of the two-minute clip, she explains that she reached out to Instacart to open a claim over the incident, but they told her to keep it or donate it.
“I thought it would be fun to see what a complete stranger gets like an entire grocery order,” Pascale explained, when she began looking at grocery bags from Sprouts, a supermarket chain.
The Post has reached out to Pascale and Instacart for comment.
The first item I pulled out was creamy – but not the kind your coffee would use.
“Get out the itch cream,” she said, pulling the box out of the grocery bag. “Well, I like it.”
The next grocery item she found was Dave’s Killer Bread brand Ezekiel, which she admitted she actually buys, followed by a bar of milk chocolate.
“Wait, that’s so much fun,” admitted Pascal as she continued to carry out the order.
Then she pulled out a bottle of orange Italian soda and a bottle of Natalie’s orange juice.
Natalie’s orange juice?! I wondered. “This thing is like, $10. I feel like I hit the jackpot.”
The remaining items included a bag of tomatoes, asparagus, a can of blueberries, blackberries, ginger ale, frozen chicken bars, unsweetened almond milk, a carton of eggs, Angus beef, free-range orange chicken, plain chicken, and last but not least, some fish. Grilled salmon.
She noted that she would have preferred “sweetened almond milk,” but “beggars can’t choose them,” the TikToker admitted.
She concluded at the end of the video, “I’m so sorry for the person who didn’t get their order, but this is FIRE, thank you for a good grocery buy.”
In the comments section of the video, viewers made guesses about the mystery person who originally ordered the food.
“The way I immediately found out about this was from a woman in her 20s living alone,” one viewer wrote. “The girl is living her best life.”
Another agreed, “This order was made by a woman who lives alone and I mean that in the best way possible.”
“That was a girls thing in the gym 😂😂,” someone else sneered.
Others joked about the fact that their commands looked completely different.
“This guy has his life together,” one TikToker commented. “You can unbox my order like: Pop Pies, Sun Chips, Unreliable Items, Chicken, Broccoli, and Cookie Dough.”
One alleged Instacart shopper even weighed in, writing, “As a shopper it’s so much fun knowing who these people are that I shop for hahaha, I can always tell if someone is on their turn, sick, etc.”
