Golf legend John Daly sends tips to Arkansas coach amid racing madness March

Arkansas men’s basketball Coach Eric Musselman said Saturday night that he was getting coaching advice from legendary golfer John Daly when the team knocked out Kansas in the Round of 32.

Musselman said that Daley had drills for the players to do for their free throws. The Razorbacks were 22-of-29 against Illinois from the charity strip and were 21-for-26 from the line in 72-71 win over the Jayhawks.

“He tried to contact me, and he did get some messages,” Musselman said. “Before we crash, I’ll try calling John. You know, he’d text me even a drill. Like our guys wanted to take out their bat and hit the ball in the cup. We haven’t tried it yet, luckily, we’ve been hitting bad shots. But I know Arkansas State It’s blazing at the moment and I know John Daly is really excited too.”

The crowd in Des Moines, Iowa, went crazy.

“This is an incredible victory for our program,” Musselman said. “I keep telling people we’re getting better. Not many teams can get better at this time of year. I’ve never been more proud of a team like this tonight.”

Kansas is second no. The top seed has already been eliminated in this tournament.
