Bill Clinton has a chance meeting with one of the heart surgeons who saved his life
Bill Clinton met an old acquaintance—a surgeon who helped save his life in one of his famously major heart surgeries—in unusual circumstances, Page Six hears.
Sources say celebrity chef Donatella Arbia got a visit from the Secret Service on Wednesday about a “very well-known person” who wanted to dine at her new Miami Beach restaurant in Redfish.
We were told that they had asked the chef to prepare a vegetarian menu for the distinguished guest, who wanted to host a table of 12.
However, at the last minute, the security team tells Arpaia that their man won’t be able to come in after all – because they won’t be able to secure the restaurant since the entire dining space is in direct contact with the Atlantic Ocean.
Arbia guessed that the special guest was President Clinton, who, as it happens, is her husband, Dr. Alan Stewart, who has worked for nearly 19 years in New York.
Page Six hears that when Clinton, 76, found out about Arbia’s affair with Dr. Stewart, immediately invites them to join an intimate lunch at their new location – the Biltmore Hotel.

Lucky for the President, he was keeping up with his heart-healthy diet when he ordered a vegan menu from Arpaia’s place and wasn’t trying to sneak a double cheeseburger — or he might have some tough questions to answer from the doctor.
We’re told Arpaia arrived with a vegan chocolate cake for the 42nd President with a message that read, “Celebrating 19 years.”
doctor. “He looks healthier now than when he came in for surgery,” Stewart said.
As previously reported, Clinton has undergone a series of heart surgeries, beginning with the headline-grabbing quadruple bypass in 2004. Dr. Stewart was a member of the three-person cardiac surgery team that performed the procedure.
