A local Los Angeles meteorologist breaks down on live TV in a frightening moment
A local Los Angeles meteorologist suddenly collapsed while broadcasting live in a terrifying moment Saturday morning.
CBS Los Angeles weather woman Alyssa Carlson Schwartz was just cut by anchors to deliver her 7 a.m. weather report when she appeared to turn white and lean forward uncomfortably at her desk.
Schwartz tried to steady herself but suddenly her eyes rolled to the back of her head. She slowly backed forward until her head nearly hit the table.
At first, her co-hosts, Nichelle Medina and Rachel Kim, didn’t seem to notice.
After a few seconds, Kim let out an “Oh!” and Medina telling viewers, “We’re going to take a quick break now.”
Kim agreed, saying, “Yes,” as the network dropped out of the commercials.
According to TMZ, the morning show has not returned to the live segment.
Schwartz later Posted on Facebook At about 2:30 p.m. it’s “It’s going to be okay!” He thanked friends and viewers for the good wishes.
However, it is not clear why she fainted TMZ reported Schwartz said she experienced a similar episode in 2014 when she was working for another network.
Schwartz vomited during a weather report and as a result was diagnosed with a heart valve, according to the outlet.
“I want to thank you [Schwarz’s] co-workers who took immediate action to calm Alyssa down and call 911,” CBS Los Angeles vice president and news director Mike Dello Stretto told TMZ. “Alyssa is being treated in the hospital right now. We hope to know more soon. In the meantime, Alyssa will be on our minds and we’re praying for her to feel much better soon.”
